Reconciliation

Our reconciliation journey

From creating employment opportunities to enriching cultural diversity and understanding, we know we are in a position to influence meaningfully, and we are ready to explore every possibility.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) provides the foundations for Kinetic to establish meaningful long-term relationships with First Nations communities in the areas in which we operate and contribute to reconciliation in a structured, relevant, and respectful way.

Launching our RAP

Our RAP was unveiled together with a bespoke Reflect design on one of our buses in Cairns (Gimuy), Queensland.

It was launched alongside Yirrganydji Traditional Owners, the young artists behind the design, Minister for Seniors, Disability Services and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Craig Crawford, and our Co CEO Michael Sewards.

Moving the Mob – First Nations Trainee Bus Driver program

Moving the Mob is a First Nations trainee bus driver program introduced to promote greater Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation within Kinetic’s workforce and across the transport industry.

The program encourages First Nations people with a car driver’s licence to become bus drivers and provides flexible paid training in a supportive, culturally safe environment.
