Driving LGBTQI+ inclusion & allyship

Kinetic welcomes all sexualities, genders, identities and cultures and we stand up for, support and encourage the people around us.

We are committed to creating a culture that genuinely values all people and their differences, and to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace that provides everyone with what they need to succeed and be free from discrimination, harassment, victimisation, bullying, and exclusion.

All Kinetic policies are inclusive of all sexualities, genders and cultures – including LGBTQI+, First Nations, People with Disability and other diverse cultures, communities and their families.

We believe a workplace should be one where all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, abilities and cultures are welcome and feel valued – a place where everyone is free to be the best version of themselves, every day.

Omni Pride Network

Kinetic is committed to increasing LGBTQ+ workforce participation and ensuring the experience of our LGBTQI+ employees and customers is positive, safe, welcoming, rewarding, equitable and inclusive.

Kinetic proudly launched our Omni Pride Network in 2022 to drive awareness and visibility of issues important to LGBTQI+ communities and to support and advocate on behalf of our LGBTQI+ team members and allies.

The Omni Pride Network’s mission is to increase awareness, understanding and sensitivity to build a safe and respectful work environment that creates a culture of inclusion, equality and respect for all.

Pride In Diversity

Kinetic is a proud Principal Partner Member of Pride in Diversity, the national not-for-profit employer support program for LGBTQI+ workplace inclusion.

Pride in Diversity publishes the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), which is Australia’s national benchmarking instrument for LGBTQI+ workplace inclusion.

In recognition of our efforts, we have successfully achieved Bronze AWEI accreditation and are working towards achieving AWEI Gold Certification by 2030!

‘You Are Loved’ Pride Buses

The ‘You Are Loved’ Pride Bus initiative is part of Kinetic’s commitment to recognising and supporting all sexualities, genders, identities and cultures in both the workplace and in the communities we serve.

We launched our first Pride Bus at SkyBus Melbourne in 2022, and the rainbow-coloured fleet has since grown to over 10 buses across Kinetic networks across Australia & New Zealand.

Kinetic’s Pride Bus design features the Progress Pride Flag and the words ‘You are Loved’, sending a clear message to the community that everyone should feel safe and respected everywhere, always.

Everyday Inclusion At Kinetic

Every year, our teams nationwide celebrate IDAHOBIT, Wear It Purple Day, and other key events on the pride calendar.

We back this up with LGBTQI+ diversity & inclusion training, guides on allyship such as using inclusive language, plus LGBTQI+ travel safety advice and more.

On top of this, we’ve appointed LGBTQI+ HR Grievance Officers and confidential LGBTQ+ contacts & allies to support our LGBTQI+ team members.
