Kinetic in Christchurch (currently operating as Go Bus), operates 200 buses from two main depots. These buses carry approximately nine million passenger per annum on the urban network.

Kinetic principally supplies scheduled urban bus services to Environment Canterbury Regional Council (ECan) via a number of long-term contracts. We also operate a large number of school bus services for the Ministry of Education throughout the Greater Christchurch and North Canterbury region. Our all single deck fleet includes 44 battery electric buses.

Across Christchurch and North Canterbury employ approximately 400 drivers and 70 support staff including bus cleaners, workshop staff, administrators, supervisors and managers.

Ōtautahi, the adopted Māori name for the city of Christchurch, comes from the name of a pre-European settlement on the banks of the Avon river in the city.
