Kinetic is bringing its award-winning airport transfer brand, SkyBus, to Launceston to support the thousands of fans arriving in town for Foo Fighters' sold-out concert at UTAS Stadium on Saturday 24 January 2026.
With the one-night-only show drawing visitors from across Australia, Kinetic is stepping in to make getting to and from the event as hassle-free as possible, with SkyBus operating a dedicated Launceston Express service from Thursday 22 January to Monday 26 January 2026.
City-bound services will run from 22 to 24 January, with SkyBus scheduled to meet all arriving flights at Launceston Airport and transport passengers direct to Launceston CBD via two stops - the Launceston General Hospital and the Launceston Regional Transit Centre.
Airport-bound services will run from 25 to 26 January, departing from Launceston CBD to Launceston Airport.
Fares will be $22 for a one-way trip, and $40 return. Tickets are available now.
Kinetic General Manager (Tasmania) Andrew Grzinic said the SkyBus Launceston Express would provide fans with a convenient, stress-free transport option for the landmark event.
"This is the biggest concert Launceston has ever hosted, and we wanted to make sure fans have a reliable transport option to and from the airport," said Mr Grzinic.
"We're proud to support this incredible event and help people get there and back home safely."
The Foo Fighters concert on 24 January marks the band's first performance in Tasmania since 2015 and their first ever show in Launceston.
The event sold out in record time, with fans travelling from across Australia for the one-night-only performance.
