At Kinetic, we believe every community deserves access to vital health services. That’s why Kinetic in New Zealand and Kinetic-owned Go Bus are supporting the Lions Skin Cancer Trust’s first Skin Cancer Screening Bus, now bringing free skin cancer checks to communities across New Zealand’s South Island.
Through financial support and ongoing fuel provision, Go Bus and Kinetic are helping drive a healthier future — making early detection services more accessible for people in regional and rural areas.
In addition to supporting the communities we serve, Kinetic is also ensuring the health and wellbeing of our own team. As part of our commitment to health and safety, our depot staff are being offered free skin cancer screenings through the Lion’s Skin Cancer Trust in the areas the screening bus is operating.
Ben Barlow, Chief Operating Officer of Go Bus, says the partnership reflects Kinetic’s strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and community care.
"At Go Bus and Kinetic, we are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives," said Ben. "Early detection of skin cancer saves lives, and we’re proud to help bring vital health services closer to the communities that need them most."
Skin cancer remains one of New Zealand’s most serious public health challenges, with over 500 lives lost to melanoma each year. Early detection significantly improves outcomes — and mobile screening services like this one make a real difference.
The Lions Skin Cancer Screening Bus was officially launched in Hanmer Springs at the end of March and will continue to operate across the South Island, with plans underway to launch a second bus to service the North Island.
Together, we’re proud to be driving a healthier future for communities across Aotearoa.
