Kinetic’s south-east Queensland operation Surfside Buslines has signed an exciting new three-year partnership with the Gold Coast Titans to support the club’s community outreach program, Titans Together.

The partnership will enable the Titans to continue to grow programming within the social inclusion, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander reconciliation and participation space. Surfside will proudly become the presenting partner to all Titans Together community programs.

Highlight programs include Leagueability, which features players with physical and intellectual disabilities, the Deadly Futures education initiative for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and the Titans Schools Competition which attracts over 100 teams across the Gold Coast region.

Titans CEO Steve Mitchell says the investment from Surfside Buslines will enable the club to continue to make sport accessible for all.

“Our purpose as an organisation is to make our communities proud, to inspire them with energy and unite them through success,” Mr Mitchell said. “This investment in our club from Surfside Buslines allows us to continue to grow our community outreach programs.”

“It is vitally important to us that we have a partner involved in our community programs who believes in the work we do and within their own business also has a focus on diversity and inclusion.”

“Surfside Buslines shares our values and as a local business that is also heavily invested in the region, we’re thrilled that we can work together on our community projects.”

Matthew Campbell, Queensland General Manager of Surfside operator Kinetic, said the partnership was an exciting step in Surfside’s long history.

“For decades our bus drivers have kept the Gold Coast moving and connected by putting people first – and this partnership will only add to the pride and passion they bring to work every day,” Mr Campbell said.

“This is an incredible opportunity to throw our support behind the work already underway through the Titans Together program, while at the same time expanding on the opportunities to realise our own strategic priorities and targets around diversity and inclusion.”

“All of this is about our responsibility as a bus operator to improve the livelihoods of the community in which we live and operate.”

“Every year over 6 million passengers climb aboard a Surfside bus and are greeted by the 700 plus bus drivers that form part of the Surfside workforce,” Mr Mitchell said.

“We’re excited to welcome our bus drivers, who like many front-line workers in our community, do a brilliant job of connecting those on the Coast – and in particular who play an important role in bringing to life our game-day experience connecting fans with the sport that they love.”

As a leading school bus operator Surfside will also help to expand the Titans Schools Competition and strengthen the club’s relationship with the school community.
